Classic tour Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Tashkent


Samarkand city tour will be started from visiting «Gur-Emir» mausoleum (15th century), which means Emir's grave. Here Amir Temur and his followers were buried. Our next destination point  will be the royal square – symbol of Samarkand – “Registan" square (15-11th century). The largest square is surrounded from three sides by «Leoni» and "Tilya-Kori" medreses. Registan is decorated with dazzling majolica which proofs evolution of architecture of Temurides. We will continue our excursion at «Bibi-Khanim» mosque (15th century) which was the largest one in all Central Asia at those times. Amir Temur built it and inscribed to his lovely wife after his conquering of Deli city. There is a nosy and authentic oriental bazaar near the mosque. 

Bukhara is a city of poetry and fairytales. Its meaning on Sanskrit is Abbey. The city was a big trade center on the Silk Road. Bukhara city locates in the oasis of Kyzylkum desert on the east of Amudarya river and in the lower of Zarafshan river. It is one of the oldest city in the world. The foundation age of Bukhara is about 2700 years. Strategically important city was a kind of bridge wich connected Arravia with India and ancient China. In 1500, city was conquered by Uzbeks and became capital of this family, but in 1868 was transferred to Russian rulers. In 1920 Bukhara People's Republic was founded. From 1924 it was a part of Uzbekistan as part of Soviet union, which lately, in 1991, became an independent country. Nowadays Bukhara is one of the largest industrial centers. Moreover it was pronounced as object of UNESCO heritage. 

Briefly about tour

Tashkent- flight from Tashkent to Samarkand at 6 am. Arriving in 6.55 am.

Samarkand – Breakfast and all day excursion in the capital of Amir Temur empire with its 20 centuries history. Samarkand is the same age as Babylon, Athens and Rome. 

(Visiting of Registan square, Bibi Khanym mosque, Shakhi-Zinda, observation of Ulugbek, Gur-Emir mausoleum, Khodji-Diyor mausoleum, performance and demonstration nationational dresses of people of Central  Asia in El-Merosi theater. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Bukhara city – departuring to Bukhara on Afrosiab Express train at 9.50 am. Arriving in 11.19 am.

Sightseeings: Chashma-Ayub mausoleum (12th century), Ark mosque of Bola-Khauz and Ark Citadel (18-19th century) – royal city inside the city, which was a center of Bukhara State government organization. Lunch at Choykhona – the local restaurant. On the second part of city tour, we will visit the main city symbol  - the Kalyan Minaret (Great Minaret) which has 47 meter height and has connected with Mir Arab medrese (Koran school) by small bridge. Our next destination will be Lyabi Khauz square. It locates in the quietest city side in the shadow of mulberries, which were planted in 1620 years around the pool. In the garden center there is a monument of Khodja Nassriddin – popular character of people's epos. On the east of monument there is Nodir-Divan-Begi medrese (1622 year); there is Kukeldosh medrese (1568-1569 years). We will finish our city tour with visiting Chor-Minor complex (4 minarets) – one of the most interesting and unusual  buildings in Bukhara, wich was build by Indian Tadj Mahal project.

Dinner and night at the hotel.

Bukhara – breakfast at hotel. We will continue our city tour with visiting Sitora Mokhi-Khisa complex (garden of moon and stars or summer residence of Emir). On the east of Bukhara we will visit Bakhautdin Nakshband mausoleum, who was a very important figure in sufism and protector of Bukhara. At least we offer you to visit Chor Bakr necropolis on the west, built in 16th century. Lunch  at local restaurant. Free time after lunch. To dig into the charming Bukhara, you can visit local bazaar and buy local delicious food or souvenirs. Dinner at local restaurant. Night at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Returning to Tashkent. Departure from Bukhara at 11.20 am. Arrival to Tashkent at 12.10 PM.
