Samarkand

Samarkand is one of the ancient cities of Uzbekistan. City saved its historical spirit but in the same time became a modern metropolitan. Sightseeings of Samarkand are countless. It is a real pearl of the East. Being one of the most important points of Great Silk Road, city absorbed a lot of different cultures, customs, traditions, arts and also collected the most outstanding masters of Middle Ages. All that together transformed city into the gorgeous and beautiful place with many sightseeings which  are still continue inspiring and admiring generations.

Many of architectural monuments of Samarkand were included in the list of UNESCO world's heritage. The symbol of city is Registan square. This complex was built in several stages, one building from one ruler. Three parts of buildings: Sherdor, Mirzo-Ulugbek and Tillya-Karri are standing together as assembly with a central square inside. Registan complex symbolizes architectural level of 15-17th centuries. Monumental building of Bibi-Khanim mosque, which was named after Amir Temur's wife, had a colossal and titanic renovation. It let tourists to see all its beauty. Not far from the mosque there is Shakhi-Zinda assembly which is very close to inhabited complexes.

In Gur-Emir mausoleum Amir Temur and his descends were buried. Religious tourism is also popular in Samarkand. The most visited religious place is Daniil prophet mausoleum.
