Chimgan is a popular touristic place. Every year thousands of local and foreign tourists come here to enjoy beautiful nature. 

Ugam-Chatakal National park is only in 1 hour ride from Tashkent. This is a real paradise for lovers of nature, extreme rest, mountains trips and others.
Chimgan is the name of the largest town and the same time, name of the highest mountain. 

There are small lakes, energy rivers and beautiful waterfalls inside rocks of Chimgan area. There are also a lot of hidden caves, where remains of volcanic rocks are still keeping traces of dinosaurs. On the vertical rocks you can meet petroglyphs - the ancient carving drawings of animals and hunters with slings and arrows, made by ancient people who inhabited these places in the Stone age. Local fresh air is full of aromas of different flowers, blossoms and plants. 

The total number of sunny days in Charvak region is much over than in California and Mediterranean area. Nature created this unique ecological region for full option leisure and tourism.

On the territory of Ugam-Chatakal National park there is famous Chimgan-Charvak-Bildersay rest area. On the height of 1600 meters above sea level, there is “Chimgan oromgokhi”  skiing resort. Also there are some multilevel hotels cottages at nearby resorts. The main visitors of resorts are lovers of winter and other extreme sports.

You can rent all necessary sport equipment and dresses on the place. Resort has developed infrastructure, especially cable ways allow quick and safe access to the top of resort.

More complicated foot walking directions starts from beautiful landmark of mountains named as 12 keys, which are leading to the large cupola of Big Chimgan on the height of 3,377 meters above sea or to the top of Small Chimgan on the height of 2,100 meters above sea. There are small lakes, energy rivers and beautiful waterfalls inside rocks. Tourists who like extreme rest can slalom these rivers and waterfalls. The most popular directions go through the beautiful places of Tyan-Shan mountains, along the mountain rivers Pskents, Chatkal, Akbulak and Koksu. Only professional hikers and well trained tourists with special equipment are able to slalom and cross big energy rivers and waterfalls. All difficulties during the hiking tour will be finally awarded after achieving the famous cave named Zhemchuzhny (Pearl), which locates on the Giza Passover of Ugam mountains. Tourists will see underground spaces with stalactites on the cave ceiling and stalagmites on the ground. Stalactites are the limestones icicles, stalagmites are kind of growings of minerals. They both have a fantastic shapes. One of stalagmites with ribbed surface looks similar as organ. If you touch it the melodically sounds will appear in the cave. On the one of cave spaces there is a real “banquet hall” with stalagmite tables and chairs. 

Chimgan-Charvak-Bildersay rest area is a place for real mountains lovers. Better mountains are only mountains for them.
